Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain

What is Chronic Pain?

Pain is considered chronic when the acute illness or injury has been resolved, but the pain remains, as with reflex sympathetic dystrophy or fibromyalgia, or when the ailment itself is chronic, as in arthritis or cancer.

Once you have had chronic pain for six months or more… your brain is literally wired differently.  It is wired for pain.  That is why it is futile to mask the pain with drugs.  You will need increasing amounts of pain killers as time goes by and the side effects of the drugs will destroy your body.

Relieve Chronic Pain Naturally with Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis has been proven to be the most effective drug-free treatment for chronic pain.

The mind-body connection is incredibly powerful.  So much so, that regardless of the kind of physical pain you may be experiencing, your mind has the ability to help you feel better. Hypnosis has been used for pain control for almost a century, with one of the early uses being as an anesthetic for dental procedures and surgeries.

Certified Hypnotherapist, Amanda Salzberger’s Approach to Treating Chronic Pain:

1)    Treating the symptoms

2)    Getting in touch with the underlying root cause of the pain (so that we can understand what, if any, messages the pain might be carrying with it)

Hypnosis is a relaxed state of heighted awareness and focused concentration. In this state, your subconscious mind is receptive to positive suggestions and you can filter out uncomfortable sensations and tune into the experience of other more comfortable sensations.

In as little as one hypnosis session, you will start to :

  • Relieve tension and stress.
  • Alter and transform the sensation of pain
  • Build your inner strength
  • Improve your coping skills
